Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic Solar Sales Associate to drive residential solar adoption by identifying potential homeowners, conducting technical consultations, and converting leads into successful installations. The role requires proactive lead generation, consultative selling approach, comprehensive site evaluations, and management of end-to-end sales cycle while ensuring exceptional customer experience and achievement of ambitious revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify and engage prospective residential customers through field visits, digital inquiries, referral networks, and community outreach programs
  • Conduct detailed consultative discussions with homeowners explaining technical aspects & financial benefits of solar PV systems.
  • Explain PM Surya Ghar Yojna, subsidy benefits, net-metering process, and government incentive schemes clearly to prospective customers.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based customer relationships through regular follow-ups, professional engagement, and consultative approach.
  • Perform initial site assessments including roof space availability, shading analysis, structural evaluation, meter location, and system orientation.
  • Coordinate with technical and engineering teams for detailed site surveys, feasibility analysis, and structural audits.
  • Prepare and present customized techno-commercial proposals including system sizing, BOQ, ROI calculations, long-term energy saving analyses, and financing options
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with customers and close sales in line with assigned monthly and quarterly targets
  • Assist customers with government portal registration, subsidy documentation, net-metering approvals, and compliance processes under applicable schemes
  • Follow up with customers for payment collection, project timelines, subsidy status, and scheme approvals
  • Coordinate internally with design, procurement, installation, and service teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, site details, customer interactions, lead pipeline, and conversion status in CRM system
  • Represent the company at local promotional events, trade shows, exhibitions, and community awareness programs to build brand visibility and generate quality leads
  • Stay updated on solar industry trends, technological advancements, competitor offerings, and policy or regulatory changes
  • Provide post-sales support, coordinate with service teams for timely commissioning, and ensure high customer satisfaction leading to positive referrals
  • Mentor and guide junior sales team members on best practices, product knowledge, and sales techniques

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, mounting structures, net metering, and rooftop installation processes
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with ability to simplify complex technical concepts for homeowners
  • Ability to read and interpret basic electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and site layouts
  • Strong commercial awareness, cost sensitivity, and financial acumen for ROI presentations
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience in CRM software usage
  • Result-oriented mindset with self-motivation and ability to perform under high-pressure sales targets
  • Willingness to travel extensively for field visits and customer meetings
  • Must possess a two-wheeler and valid driving license (petrol reimbursement will be provided)
  • Must possess a smart phone (company SIM will be provided)
  • Proficient in English, Hindi, and Telugu (spoken and written)
  • Strong relationship management and customer service orientation
